San Diego

San Diego was a blast, the weather was beautiful. Blayne and I left the kids at home with Tony and Chelsea, and flew down with Doug (Blayne's Dad)to see Mel and Brenton be sealed in the temple. Mary (Blayne's Mom) was already there helping out and hopefully Kingston will come before she leaves.

We went to Seal Beach and saw a few seals but not too many. The weather was great, not too hot with a nice breeze. The beach was really crowded, we waited our turn to go out the walk to see if we could see more.

Blayne and Brenton rented surf boards and had a blast surfing, well attempting to, they did great for their first time. Most of all they had a blast doing it.

Sean came down just for Friday night then went home Saturday night. We all went out to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack for Blayne's and Melissa's birthdays. Baby Kingston wasn't ready to see us, apparently. Of course it would have been a bad weekend to make his arrival.

I had no complaints about the weekend until.........we showed up at the airport at 11:30 for our 1:25 flight when we are notified that our flight was running 4+ hours behind. WHAT!!!! Of course if I knew that I wouldn't have showed up at the airport when I did. So, luckily Brenton stayed around for a few minutes. So we left to go and find something to do to kill time.

Brenton took us over to Old Town San Diego. We walked around looking at everything. All of the restored buildings, tons of little shops, the Mormon Battalion (even though it was under construction, we looked from the outside).

We went back to suffer the last few hours at the airport, then finally flew into Portland at 8:00pm. Getting to our house at 10:00. It made for a really long day. Since we were flying in so late, Chelsea and Tony brought my kids to the airport to pick us up, I was so happy to see their little faces.

I had a blast, I really missed my babies, and I am glad to be home.
